HOW WE HANDLE THIS

Data, Security and Account Practices

We apply consistent data-handling and security practices across every account on 6lowpan.

Data We Collect

We collect the details you provide during account creation — name, email, phone number and payment identifiers such as your linked UPI handle or Paytm wallet ID. We do not collect data beyond what is necessary for account operation.

Cookie Handling

Our site uses functional cookies to keep you logged in and analytical cookies to measure page performance. You can adjust cookie preferences via the consent banner that appears on your first visit to 6lowpan.co.

Account Security

Accounts are protected with hashed password storage and optional two-step verification. We never store your UPI PIN, Paytm or PhonePe credentials — payments are authenticated directly through your bank or wallet provider.

Retention Schedule

We retain account data for the period required under Indian financial regulations. Once the mandatory retention window closes, personal data that is no longer needed for operational or legal purposes is deleted or anonymised.

Who Can Access Your Data

Your data is accessible only to authorised 6lowpan staff, our payment processors (for UPI, Paytm and PhonePe transactions) and regulatory bodies where disclosure is required by Indian law. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Requesting Changes

You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate records or deletion of non-mandatory data by emailing our support team with your account ID. We process such requests within 30 days of verification.

Common Legal and Account Questions

The answers below cover the questions we receive most often about account eligibility, data rights, cookies and how to contact us for policy matters. If your question is not listed, reach out via live chat or email.

Account eligibility depends on the laws of your state or union territory in India. Access is available where local law permits. You are responsible for confirming that participation is lawful in your specific location before completing registration.

We store your registration details, linked payment identifiers (such as your UPI handle or Paytm wallet reference) and transaction records. We do not store payment credentials like PINs or passwords — those stay with your bank or wallet provider.

We keep your data for the period required under applicable Indian financial regulations. After the mandatory window, non-essential personal data is deleted or anonymised. You can ask for a retention summary by contacting our support team.

Yes. Email our support team with your account ID and specify whether you want a data copy, a correction or a deletion of non-mandatory records. We complete verified requests within 30 days and send you a confirmation once done.

We use functional cookies (to keep sessions active) and analytical cookies (to understand page performance). You can accept, reject or customise cookie categories through the consent banner on your first visit or at any time via your browser settings.

UPI reference IDs, Paytm receipts and PhonePe transaction records are retained for the period prescribed by Indian financial regulations. They are accessible only to authorised staff and relevant regulators — never shared with third-party advertisers.

Contact us via email or live chat with your account ID and a description of the concern. We assign a reference number within 24 hours on business days and aim to resolve policy or legal disputes through our internal review process before any escalation.
